Accounting & Bookkeeping Services
Bookkeeping, management accounts, and statutory financial statement preparation for growing Ghanaian businesses.
Accurate books are the foundation everything else rests on. A valuation, an audit, a loan application and a tax filing all draw from the same records, and weaknesses there surface in every one of them, usually at the least convenient moment.
Accounting and bookkeeping services are rendered through our sister firm, KAP Chartered Accountants: transaction recording, ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and payables and receivables. Alongside that, management accounts turn the record-keeping into something a business owner can actually steer by, month to month rather than once a year.
For businesses whose records have fallen behind, the first engagement is often reconstruction: bringing historic periods back into order before any forward-looking work is meaningful.
What’s included
- Financial statement preparation and analysis
- General ledger maintenance and reconciliation
- Accounts payable and receivable management
- Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
- Cash flow analysis and forecasting
Common questions
- Can you take over books that are behind?
- Yes, and it is a common starting point. Historic periods are reconstructed and reconciled first, so that current reporting rests on something sound.
- Do we still need an accountant if we use accounting software?
- Software records transactions; it does not decide how they should be treated, catch misclassifications, or prepare statements that will satisfy an auditor or a lender. The two work together rather than substituting for one another.
- How often will we receive management accounts?
- Monthly or quarterly, depending on what the business needs to make decisions. Monthly suits businesses with tight cash cycles; quarterly is often sufficient for more stable operations.
